Beth Black

I was first introduced to Human Design in 2001, and the moment that I had my type described to me, I felt like I had always known it. It felt like I was remembering a system and a way of life that I had strayed from and now was blessed with the incredible grace to be able to return to. And that return has colored and flavored everything that I have done for the last eight years.
The first seven-year cycle was everything that one could have imagined. I tested myself against all of the information I was learning; I tested the information against every other system I had studied (my background is in energetic healing and counseling); I struggled to learn what my actual individual strategy and inner authority is for making decisions for myself; and most of all I learned the depth of surrender that was necessary to live my design and my True Self, and not all of the pictures that I had in my mind of what I thought I was supposed to be. My Human Design experiment has always been one of discovery and acceptance, and learning to empower myself with the truth of who I am and what I am here to contribute. I am happy now to simply show up where my vehicle takes me and respond from the fullness of what and who I am.
In 2006 I made the decision to become a Human Design Professional and I was given an amazing opportunity to experience and discover for myself how and where Human Design fits into the “real” world. I have lived and questioned and embraced the profundity of Human Design with shamans in the Andes in Peru, with Indigenous Grandmothers by the Pacific Ocean, in ceremonies for Peace on sacred land in New Mexico, and on a 6,500 mile 22 day cross country speaking tour to promote awareness for domestic violence. I have hosted major metaphysical workshops and speakers in my hometown of Mt. Shasta, and offered Human Design knowledge to hundreds of seekers, healers, and sages as a support for whatever their unique gifts are.
I have taught groups and individuals, and shared my passion and understanding wherever I meet anyone who is interested in knowing more about their own journey. I truly feel that the sharing of Human Design is the most important work that I can do in this lifetime, and I honor the integrity of this knowledge the best way I know how, by living it. I know that if I simply walk my human design talk, and love myself, and accept all others in the truth of who and what they are, that I have done my work. Most importantly, I look forward to the opportunities to share this knowledge with young people, with children and their parents, as this is where our future evolution, awakening and awareness will be found.
I am a willing emissary, an ambassador for this vital knowledge and all who share it and live it. Beginning in 2010, I will be embarking on another form of outreach as I travel around the U.S. to teach, promote and share the tremendous resources available through Human Design, and the amazing HD community of professionals. I will do this as the Community Outreach Coordinator for Human Design America, and under the sponsorship as well of the International Human Design School (IHDS). I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity to meet all of you in whatever ways our designs guide and magnetize us. Here’s to the future of Human Design and our redefinition of what it is to be human. Thank you all for joining me on this unparalleled journey.
