Debi Melzer

Debi Melzer is a former manufacturing engineer who worked in the semiconductor industry before deciding to embark on a career in holistic health working with adults as well as children.

Debi has always had a passion for families and children and was introduced to the benefits of infant massage during an early childhood development class. This sparked a further interest and led to her training and subsequent certification as an infant massage instructor. Debi is both amazed and touched by her experience of teaching infant massage and her goal is to share this information with parents and families to enhance the bond, communication, and parenting skills for parents in today’s sometimes hectic, stressful society.

Classes are normally taught as a group session giving parents and caregivers a chance to be with other parents. Parents are surprised to learn there is more to the class than just applying massage strokes to their baby. This work goes towards giving parents a new understanding of their infant’s world and leads to an awakening that their infant is not a passive creature but one who communicates and needs to be heard in his own way.
