Michael Cremo

Dr. Michael A. Cremo is a world renowned expert in archeological evidence for extreme human antiquity and alternative theories of human origins. He is principal author of the book Forbidden Archeology. His latest book is Human Devolution: A Vedic Alternative to Darwin's Theory.
He writes a regular column titled "The Forbidden Archeologist" for Atlantis Rising magazine and has appeared on numerous television and radio shows (including Coast to Coast with Art Bell and George Noory). He has presented papers on his work at leading scientific institutions (the Royal Institution in London, the Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow, etc.) and scientific conferences organized by leading archeological societies (European Association of Archaeologists, World Archaeological Congress, etc.). He has also spoken at many of the world's leading universities. Papers of Dr. Cremo’s have been published in peer reviewed conference proceeding volumes. His work is inspired by his studies in the ancient Sanskrit writings of India, which speak of ancient civilizations, vimanas (spacecraft), and extraterrestrial forms of life.
LECTURE
Forbidden Archeology and the Extraterrestrial Hypothesis
Undoubtedly there is an extraterrestrial dimension to human origins. But extraterrestrial contacts and interventions should be considered within the framework of a terrestrial human presence extending back hundreds of millions of years. Over the years, archaeologists have found bones, footprints, and artifacts showing that humans have existed since the beginning of life on earth. But this evidence has been lost through a process of knowledge filtration. Recovering these forbidden archeological discoveries takes us on a fascinating expedition across five continents. The complete set of facts is consistent with accounts of extreme human antiquity in the ancient Sanskrit writings of India.
WORKSHOP
Human Devolution: A Vedic Alternative to Darwin's Theory
Archeological evidence for extreme human antiquity shows we need a new explanation for human origins. Today most scientists believe a human being is a combination of ordinary matter. But if we consider all the evidence, it is more reasonable to say that a human being is a combination of matter, mind, and consciousness. This leads to the assumption that the cosmos itself is divided into regions of matter, mind, and consciousness, each inhabited by beings adapted to the conditions there. We are not alone: we are part of a cosmic hierarchy of beings. Drawing on wisdom from ancient India and modern research, including UFO research, Michael Cremo proposes that we did not evolve up from matter; rather, we have devolved from the level of pure consciousness. During this process of devolution the original conscious self becomes covered by the lower energies of mind and matter. But the process can be reversed.
