Nikki de Carteret

Nikki de Carteret, author of "Soul Power - "The Transformation That Happens When You Know" has just returned from her successful Book Tour of England and Italy and is currently in the midst of her Canadian and US Book Tour of Vancouver, Portland, Seattle, San Fran, Marin County, Eugene, Sacramento, Santa Cruz, Mountain View, LA, San Diego, Seal Beach and Ensenada, Mexico.
She is a compelling figure in the spiritual world with a fascinating history! I'm attaching a Press Release on Nikki. Nikki will be doing book-signings at Gateways Bookstore in Santa Cruz on Wednesday, July 2 and at East-West Bookstore on Thursday, July 3.
Many years ago, Nikki was a British journalist with the BBC in London and during a trip to Paris, was in a very serious, disfiguring car accident and was told that she would have to live with her permanent scarring. She isolated herself for several months, after 'taking to bed'. Many months went by and Nikki decided to do a meditation and healing session on herself. She felt herself connected to a deep spiritual source that filled her entire body with white light.
Within time, Nikki's scars healed on their own and today, Nikki's face is perfect except for a small, visible scar by her eye. Soon, Nikki found herslelf disastisfied with every fact of her life and ended up walking away from a successful journalist career with the BBC in England. She started meditating on a daily basis and before long, was dedicating her life as a Meditation Leader for the presitigious global, Brahama Kamari organization....the official 'Spiritual' Consultants to the United Nations.
One of Nikki's main projects was to produce a Million Minutes of Peace Appeal Concert in conjuntion with the United Nations in the late '80's. Each participatig Ambassador went back to their country and asked the citizens to dedicate a minute of peace for one month. By the end of the month, over 30 Ambassadors gathered at a Concert at St. John's The Divine Church in New York with musicians and celebrities - Stephen Collins, Marlee Matlin signing a peace poem, Peter, Paul and Mary, Richie Havens, Paul Horn and the Harlem Gospel Choir. The Ambassadors announced that over 1 billion 'minutes of peaceful thoughts' were collectected. The Royal Family in England participated and the Japanese Stock Market closed to dedicate one minute of peaceful thought. Within a short period of time, the Berlin Wall collapsed, Communism Dictatorship in Russia broke up and so on.....a global effort to create a peaceful world at that crucial time in history.
Today, Nikki runs the Brahma Kamari Center in Vancouver, BC and every year for three months, Nikki conducts her consultant business - she is contracted to go to Jordan and conducts on-going workshops with Arab businessmen teaching them spiritual business resolutions; a challenging environment, to the say the least.
