Union City Author to be on History Channel’s “UFO Hunters”.

Union City resident Ruben Uriarte, co-author of Mexico’s Roswell: The Chihuahua UFO Crash, will appear in the History Channel’s “UFO Hunters” on Sunday, February 24th at 10:00 p.m. and Monday, February 25th at 2:00 p.m. Uriarte, along with co-author Noe Torres, will help in the investigation of a 1974 crash between a small aircraft and unidentified flying discs.

Mexico’s Roswell: The Chihuahau UFO Crash is one of the few books to highly expose the historic and controversial events of the night of August 25th, 1974. Uriarte and Torres explain that the inexplicable crash created a race between the Mexican and U.S governments to find evidence of other life forms and technology beyond our planet. Uriarte and Torres will have the privilege of explaining these events as technical advisers for their television segment filmed in Chihuahua, Mexico.

Uriarte and Torres have been interviewed on several sci-fi radio shows, including Coast to Coast AM with George Noory, and previously appeared on the History Channel in 2005.

Uriarte is a member MUFON, the current state director for Northern California, and MUFON’s liaison to Mexico’s leading civilian UFO group, OMIFO. After authoring two books on sports history, Ghost Leagues (2005) and Baseball’s First Mexican-American Star (2006), and a motion picture screenplay. Torres has embarked with Ruben Uriarte on a series of UFO books, of which this is the first.
